I’m a triathlete specializing in half Ironman and biding my time before tackling the full ironman distance. I’m a fraternal triplet and grew up being pretty competitive with my brother and sister, except I was the un-talented one compared to them, which I actually think helped me in the long-term as I never set my sights on winning or going to the olympics, it was more about just being the best I could be. After swimming and cross-country running from a young age I turned my hand to olympic distance triathlon and moved up through the British ranks but never really had any real success. It wasn’t until I decided to make the switch to non-drafting long distance triathlon where I felt like I found the sport that suited me and that’s when I made the move to live in California and never looked back. I won the Ironman 70.3 World Championships in 2016 and now I'm lucky I get to do my hobby as a career - I honestly never thought it’d be possible!
Hometown: Buckland St Mary, Somerset UK - in the middle of nowhere
Current City: Los Angeles, CA - My family now think I’m a city girl!
Favorite Race: Mooloolaba, Australia just because I won the 70.3 Worlds there and it was just the most amazing experience.
Hobbies: Sunbathing, dinner with friends and generally being lazy when I’m not training
Favorite Athlete: used to be Lance Armstrong before his whole doping reveal, growing up he was my absolute hero after my swim coach made me read his book about him overcoming cancer
Favorite Food: Elaborate, creative salads and sweeties (candy to you yanks) - I have a massive sweet tooth.
Favorite Destination: I kind of only get to see places while racing so I don’t really get to experience too much, but I think I would still say Biarritz or anywhere in the South of France. I used to race for a French Grand Prix team and spend a lot of the there - I love the culture, the food and the language!
